Welcome to Stompy’s Hut!
Original Shepherd Huts’ were built to last with some still operational today having been built 140-years ago. Stompy’s Hut has been hand crafted to the exacting standards of the past but with modern features sympathetically married to the original designs.
A wood chip path leads from the car park to the Hut, which is set beside one of three Quack and Shack ponds.
Entering the Hut there is a bed, which doubles as a sofa, induction hob, fridge & sink with running water plus a table & chairs. For heat, there is a wood burner with an initial supply of wood provided. Although the Hut has electric lighting, depending upon your mood, why not go back in time & enjoy a candlelit supper?
Outside, stroll a few paces to the Toilet Hut, which for added comfort has its own wood burner. The separate Boat shower, whilst enclosed, is open to the elements but comes with piping hot water.
The fire pit set beside the pond is adjacent to a large bench, which is comfortable for sitting, sunbathing or stargazing!
Stompy’s Hut provides an experience for those seeking something different. Come & try; you will not be disappointed.
